Temporary Local Rules

Please see below for the most recent Temporary Local Rules:

Flagsticks
Flagsticks are to be left in the hole at all times and are not to be removed.

Bunkers
Preferred lies are permitted in bunkers. A player may place the ball within 1 club-length, no nearer the hole. A player may not alter the condition of the sand in preparation for the ball placement. With rakes removed, it is recommended that players smooth the bunkers with their feet and / or their club after they have played their shot and as they exit the bunker.

Scorecards
Each player is responsible for their own scorecard. At the completion of the round the player will verbally confirm the scores with the marker and upon confirmation the player will initial the space on the scorecard which is designed for the marker’s signature. The computer will not accept the card without signatures and / or initials in both the player’s and the marker’s space. This practice will ensure that only the player is handling his or her own card.

Preferred Lies in Closely Mown Area
A ball lying in a closely mown area, being fairways, green surrounds and tees may be marked, lifted, cleaned and replaced in the general area within 5cm of its original position, no nearer the hole, without penalty.

The ball may only be lifted and placed once before each stroke.

Ground Under Repair & No Play Zones – Holes 6, 9, 12 and 14
The course work on Holes 6, 9, 12 and 14 as part of the fairway bunker project is Ground Under Repair and a No Play Zone (i.e. compulsory GUR) as marked by white lines and / or stakes. Play from these areas is prohibited and free relief must be taken in accordance with Rule 16.1f.

Relief is taken by dropping within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole. On Hole 14, a player may take relief on the fairway side of the GUR and No Play Zone area. The penalty for playing your ball from a wrong place in breach of Rule 16.1 is the General Penalty (two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play).

Ground Under Repair – Hole 10
The recent drainage work on Hole 10 is Ground Under Repair (GUR) as marked by white lines. Relief for interference to stance, ball or area of swing may be taken with reference to the nearest point of complete relief that is no nearer the hole.
