Fairway Bunker Project – No Play Zones

The fairway bunker project is now complete, with fairway bunkers on Holes 6, 9, 12 and 14, receiving capillary concrete and new sand.

These bunkers and a small area surrounding the bunkers are marked as Ground Under Repair (GUR) and are No Play Zones, as marked by white lines and / or stakes. Play from these areas is prohibited and free relief must be taken in accordance with Rule 16.1f.

Relief is taken by dropping within one club length of the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole. The penalty for playing your ball from a wrong place in breach of Rule 16.1 is the general penalty (two strokes in stroke play or loss of hole in match play). Please note the following in regards to specific holes:

  • Relief from the GUR / No Play Zone on Hole 6 must be taken in the drop zone as marked by a blue line on the right hand side of the GUR area.
  • Relief from the GUR / No Play Zone on Hole 14 may be taken on the fairway side of the GUR area.
