Yesterday’s first round of the Short Course & Veterans Short Course Championships saw a record size field of 197 players tee up to compete on the Gold Course.
These events are held over 36 holes, and as noted on the club’s website on Thursday, a review of the two Leaderboards has been carried out in order to offer those players in contention a priority booking for Round Two. The purpose of the priority booking is to ensure a potential winner does not miss out.
As a result of this review, the decision has been made to offer a priority booking for Saturday 27 June to the following;
Short Course Championship field – the top 80 players plus ties.
Veterans Short Course Championship field – the top 45 players.
Players covered by these criteria will be contacted via email confirming a priority booking has been made on their behalf. Players that receive this email and are not able to play in the 2nd round are asked as a matter of urgency to send a reply email requesting the booking be cancelled prior to midday Monday 22 June.
Congratulations to those who played well in Round One, and good luck for Round Two.
