Coronavirus Update

Dear Members,

The rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19 (novel Coronavirus) is deeply concerning for us all. I want to reassure you that your Board and Management are continuing to monitor closely the developments each day. The health and safety of our members, staff and guests are our key considerations.

You can be assured that we are reviewing advice as it is received from State and Federal Health organisations and Golf Australia and will implement any specific actions required as they come to hand.

We expect members will comply with all government requirements, including the 14 day self-isolation period for anyone returning from outside Australia. We ask that all members consider their own welfare, and that of other members before deciding to attend the club.

We have a combined meeting of our WH&S Committee and Board executive scheduled for Wednesday evening this week to form a view on our steps going forward and we will advise our members of the outcomes of this meeting. We will carefully consider all aspects of our club – day to day club operations as well as functions and events.

At this stage, we have decided to cancel the Member Information Night scheduled for Tuesday March 24th. In its place, we will distribute an expanded Board Update after the Board meeting in the last week of this month.

Our General Manager, Tim Gahan, will take the lead in issuing subsequent announcements to members over the coming days, weeks and months. We will do whatever we can to keep the clubhouse and golf course open and accessible to members through these challenging times.

Kerry Skellern
President
