Women’s Silver & Bronze Salver – Results

The 2020 Silver & Bronze Salver events took place yesterday morning following the short sharp storms felt across Sydney Monday night. Thankfully the storm damage wasn’t as extensive as the previous, and David Warwick and his team were able to present the course in exceptional condition.

There were 94 players in total across the two events, consisting of Avondale Members and 54 golfers from visiting clubs. The conditions were superb and the competition strong.

The Bronze Salver Nett event was was won by Sujung Lee from Cumberland GC with a score of 70, three strokes ahead of Youngmin Son from Ryde-Parramatta GC. The Bronze Salver Scratch event was also closely contested with Avondale’s Moira De Vos finishing in runner up spot two strokes behind Mi Kwon from Ryde-Parramatta GC with a score of 90.

The Silver Salver Nett competition came down to a countback to separate the final pair, with Sally Scrimshaw from Avondale GC ruing some missed putts on the closing holes to finish runner up to Sylvia Pham from Cromer GC on scores of 71. In the Silver Salver Scratch event there was a clear winner, three shots ahead of her nearest rival; Isabella Garay from Bonnie Doon GC shot 71 to take the trophy and hand Celine Chin of Toukley GC the runners up prize.
