We have a strong field developing for the Avondale Amateur with many international and interstate players.
We still have numerous players who would really appreciate a home to come to during the event.
Our member feedback is that hosting players is a rewarding experience – and gives members a great insight into how hard these young players work on their games – and enjoy our event.
To host a billet, all you need is a spare bed (or two if you can take a couple of players). The host family will usually supply a simple breakfast, and invite the player to join them for an evening meal.
As a host you are not expected to transport the player to the tournament. Some of them have cars and pool together for transport – or use a car for hire service. So your day is your own.
Most billets will arrive on Sunday 26th January, as many of them will be playing a practice round that afternoon. So they will be hoping for accommodation from the 26th through to the morning of Friday the 31st of January.
If you can help support these young golfers pursue their passion for golf we would really appreciate it. I can assure you the players also are equally appreciative and thankful.
