The Avondale Golf Course is acclaimed as one of the best in New South Wales and is conveniently located within 15km of the Sydney CBD. Members enjoy distinct benefits and privileges to the golfing facilities at Avondale. A summary of key benefits are outlined below:

Green Fee Free - As a Member, green fees are not paid for all rounds of golf. Any round within a competition attracts a modest fee to cover prizes.

Members Guests - A Member is entitled to accompany guests at the discretion of the General Manager in competitions and upto 3 guests outside of competition at a special members guest rate.

Top 100 Australian Golf Course - The golf course at Avondale is ranked 75th in the 2010 Australian Golf Digest Golf Course Rankings. This placed Avondale in the Top 10 for Sydney Metropolitan golf courses and confirms the courses position as one of NSW's best.

Golf Carts - Members are entitled to free use of a golf buggy and may hire at a discounted rate an electric cart if a medical condition requires a cart to complete a round.

Practice Range Balls - Members enjoy complimentary practice range balls for use on the Practice Fairway.

Golf Handicap - Avondale will maintain an official Golf Australia handicap for any members nominating Avondale as their home club.

Golf Competitions - A wide range of golf competitions are held throughout the year.

Reciprocal Playing rights - Members enjoy reciprocal playing rights at such courses as Kingston Heath, Huntingdale, Lake Karrinyup and Royal Queensland amongst many other of Australia's top courses. 

Timeswap Agreements - Members of Avondale also enjoy the benefit of limited access to Elanora, Killara, Pymble, Pennant Hills and Concord golf courses through mutual timeswap agreements.

Proactive player improvement services - Avondale's Professional players offer a wide range of tuition services (fees apply) and the Club's programme also occassionally features Golf Fitness and tuition sessions for members.

Representative Teams - Avondale fields representative playing teams in Encourage Shield (u/18), Eric Apperly Shield (u24), Inter-club Pennants, The PACK Cup and NSW Major Pennants.   

Golf Club storage - Members may apply to have their clubs conveniently stored in the Pro Shop and cleaned regularly. This makes that weekly game just that little bit more enjoyable (fee applies).

Insurance - Members who nominate Avondale as their home club are covered by a Golfers Personal Insurance plan when playing at any course within Australia.

Charge Account - A member is permitted to conveniently charge the purchase of all goods and services to their own account. The account is payable monthly in arrears.

Current playing rights at avondale for Members:

NOTE: Practice facilities, including the chipping and practice putting greens, are available at all times with priority being given to Competition players. Professional coaching arrangements are excluded from this and are at the Professional's discretion. Practice must cease when balls are being collected or when players from the 1st hole enter the Practice Fairway. The Professional Shop staff may at times request players to cease practice to allow balls to be collected.

The Professional staff (STARTER) may start players from the 13th Tee to reduce time delays on 1st Tee.

Variation to the published times can be made at the discretion of the Board, General Manager & Professional.
