Thank you for your interest in hosting your Golf Day at Avondale Golf Club. The course was crafted in 1926 from heavily timbered slopes, rocky outcrops and dry stony ridges. Its lush greens and couch fairways wind through the native Australian bush, which provides a buffer against the encroachment of the outside world and harbours an abundance of bird life. The privacy and sense of tranquillity engendered by the protection of the surrounding bush makes Avondale unique.

The 18 hole course (Par 71 and 5988m from the Championship Plates) is rated as a Group 1 course by the NSW Golf Association.

Avondale has recently been certified as an Audubon Society Co-operative Sanctuary (for outstanding environmental management), the first golf Club to be awarded this honour in New South Wales.

The Clubhouse is heritage listed and has recently been restored to its 1920's ambience with extensive renovations. Complimentary car parking, locker rooms and a practice driving range and putting greens complete the facilities for your perfect golf day.

It's hard to believe that the club is located less then 16 kilometres from the C.B.D.!

The "Perfect" Golf Day

Whilst all arrangements are customised to suit your needs, the following itinerary outlines an example of a perfect corporate day at Avondale:

Availability

Golf days for 70 guests or more (and up to 144 players) are hosted on Wednesdays (AM or PM). All dates are subject to availability and other course commitments.

Assistance with Co-ordinating and Running Your Day

We can provide assistance with all aspects of the day, including Format, Competitions and Rules, Special Novelty Events, Draw Construction, Registration, Introductions, Course Care, Starting, Scoring and the Presentation.

Golf Professional Services

Our resident Professional, Mark Paterson, and his team are available to complete the service and arrangements for the day. Mark can provide your guests with Hire Equipment (Clubs and Buggies), Motorised Carts (up to 10 available), Golf Clinics (Pre and During Game) and Trophies.

Signage and Hole Sponsorship

At the approval of the General Manager, limited on Course and Clubhouse Signage and Hole Sponsorship is permitted. Avondale Golf Club allows flag pins, tee markers, and A3 A-frame signs (1 per hole) on the course and a banner at the registration table. No signage is allowed on the exterior of the Clubhouse, at the entrance to the Clubhouse, on the practice putting green or at the road entrance on Avon Road. All signage is to be approved prior to the event and The Club reserves the right to remove any signage not deemed acceptable. Set up charges may apply.

Course Care and Club Rules

The perfect golfing guest leaves the course in better condition than when they start. Avondale requires all guests to adhere to our course care requirements, details of which are listed on our attachment as a handout to your guests "Summary of Club Rules and Regulations".

Before You Start  Lunch

The pre game lunch can be as simple as fresh made sandwiches, open sandwiches or a light BBQ, all served with Tea/Coffee. Breakfast, Morning Tea and on-course food packs can also be arranged.

Beverages

Beverages pre and / or during game can be on account or at your guests' own expense. We recommend a post game drinks package for your dinner arrangements (see Function Compendium for details). A drinks cart service or drinks stations are also recommended, subject to the size of your group and time of year.

Your After Game Function

Our Function Compendium, which is supplied in conjunction with this brochure, offers a full range of menu choices including cocktail food, BBQs, buffets, carveries and formal dinners. Special all inclusive packages can be tailored to suit your needs.

Business Options

We can also provide facilities for a pre/post game business meeting or seminar, for those wanting to mix business with pleasure. We can provide complimentary use of our Board Room and Audio Visual equipment, all set up in a format to suit your needs.
