THE ADAM SCOTT AVONDALE CADET PROGRAMME
Avondale Golf Club conducts a Cadets programme to promote and encourage the development and involvement of young golfers.
Some of the objectives of the scheme are:
Cadets are graded into the program as either Bronze A, Bronze B or Silver and progress through the ranks before potentially converting to a full Junior membership. The Cadets sessions are conducted on Sunday afternoons and are coordinated by Bob Wilson, Ric Fraunfelter and a member of the Avondale Professional staff.
By building up the required skills of the game and learning, the cadets can progress to Silver Cadet status that allows more extensive access to the course and then to have the opportunity of becoming full Junior members.
Most of the cadets who progress through the scheme establish good camaraderie and lasting friendships.
To find out more about the scheme please contact the Daniel Constable, Golf Administration Manager on (02) 9449 6455.

The Avondale Cadet Programme is also in partnership with The Adam Scott Foundation.
The Adam Scott Foundation raises funds to provide scholarships for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds as well as partnering in the establishment of youngcare apartments. Youngcare apartments are purpose built apartments for the use of young people who require 24 hour care and who otherwise are cared for in aged care facilities. More details regarding the foundation can be found by clicking here.
To the benefit of Avondale and schedule permitting, Adam Scott will attend the foundations annual Syndey golf event at Avondale and it is planned to provide a clinic or exhibition for Juniors and Members.
The partnership will also see the Avondale Junior & Cadets Programme be supported by the Adam Scott Foundation by way of signed pictures and certificates for the Cadets as well as website access. Avondale's reciprocal club Royal Queensland maintain a similar partnership.
