Environmental Policy

Avondale is at the forefront of golf course environmental management in Australia. We were the second club in Australia to become Audubon certified and led the country in the implementation of the industry standard e-par environmental management system.

Avondale is truly blessed with a very special piece of paradise in the middle of metropolitian Sydney. A golf course for nature lovers, Avondale was first constructed by cutting through the natural bush. The fairways were built along sand stone ridges and in places spanned gullies where dense bush awaits the wayward shot. 

Our bushland setting attracts a diverse range of native animals and birdlife. Members frequently enjoy guided birdwalks and an established listing of birds viewable on site has been established (click here to view).
